With a lifelong passion for exploration, I’ve been fortunate to call Sydney my second home while traveling the world. Growing up in Sri Lanka, I was blessed to have a father who shared his love for tourism as a tour guide, taking our family on countless journeys of discovery across the island. These experiences enriched our lives with Sri Lanka’s vibrant culture, rich heritage, and breathtaking landscapes. As I grew older, my love for travel only deepened. I’m Sisira Kuruppu, a seasoned expert with over four decades of experience in Sri Lanka’s travel and tourism industry. As a qualified National Tourist Guide Lecturer, I’ve had the privilege of sharing the wonders of Sri Lanka with discerning travelers from around the globe, refining my knowledge and expertise to offer truly enriching experiences. With a deep passion for the island’s 2,600-year-old heritage, I craft bespoke tours that bring Sri Lanka’s vibrant culture, rich history, and stunning natural beauty to life. As the Vice President of the Sri Lanka Institute of National Tourist Guide Lecturers, I also take pride in nurturing the next generation of guides, ensuring that my legacy continues through Ceylara Travels. My commitment to conservation is rooted in my lifetime membership with the Field Ornithology Group of Sri Lanka, where I actively contribute to birdwatching and nature conservation efforts.
